PRE-TEST INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO PREPARE

To ensure your drug or alcohol test is completed quickly and compliant with federal and
state standards, please review the following instructions before arriving at our facility.

1. What to Bring:
You must bring the following items to be admitted for testing:

• Valid Government-Issued Photo ID: This is mandatory. Acceptable forms include a Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, or Military ID. (Note: If you do not have a photo ID, you must contact your employer

immediately. We cannot proceed without proper identification.)

• Authorization Form / Chain of Custody Form: If your employer gave you a paper
form or a digital QR code/registration number, have it ready.

• List of Current Medications: While you do not need to disclose these to the
collector, you should have a list ready for your own reference in case a Medical
Review Officer (MRO) contacts you later regarding your results.

2. Hydration Guidelines (Urine Tests)
It is important to manage your fluid intake to avoid a "Dilute Negative" result (which often
requires a re-test)
or a "Shy Bladder" (inability to provide a sample).

• Do Not Over-Hydrate: Avoid drinking excessive amounts of water immediately
before the test. Drinking more than 24 oz of fluid in the two hours prior to your test
may cause your specimen to be rejected as dilute.

• Do Not Arrive Empty: However, please ensure you have enough urine in your
bladder to provide a sample (typically 45mL). If you cannot provide a sample
immediately, you may be required to stay at the facility for up to 3 hours under
federal guidelines.

3. What to Expect Upon Arrival:

To maintain the integrity of the testing process, we follow strict collection protocols:

• Outer Garments: You will be asked to remove jackets, coats, hats, and hoodies.

• Empty Pockets: You must empty your pockets. You cannot bring wallets, keys,
phones, or notes into the collection stall.

• Wash Hands: You will be required to wash your hands prior to the collection.

• No Personal Belongings: Purses, briefcases, and backpacks must be left in a
lockbox or designated area outside the collection room.

4. Special Considerations

• Avoid Poppy Seeds: It is generally recommended to avoid foods containing poppy
seeds (bagels, pastries) for 24-48 hours prior to testing.

• Mouth Contaminants (Saliva/Breath Tests): If you are taking a saliva or breath
alcohol test, avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum/tobacco for at least
15 minutes prior to the test.

• Children: Please do not bring children to the testing facility unless another adult is
present to supervise them in the waiting room while you are testing. Children are not
permitted in the collection room.

5. Attempting to Cheat
Fast Check Labs LLC utilizes advanced validation methods.

• Temperature strips are checked immediately.

• Specimens are tested for adulterants (chemicals used to mask drugs) and synthetic
urine.

• Warning: Attempting to substitute or adulterate a specimen is considered a "Refusal to Test" and is reported to your employer immediately.
